This weekend is bank holiday weekend. Went to Edinburgh to Su Yin and Choon Hong's house. They're my friends from PwC (its been 5 years). We have been meaning to go to Isle of Skye since my last visit to Edinburgh last year. We've finally made it. Drove 6 hours to Isle of Skye and another 11 hours travelling in Isle of Skye-Fort Williams-Stirling-Edinburgh (that's my personal record of driving non-stop) But its worth it! The highlands is so breathtakingly beautiful. We even managed to go to Eilean Donan Castle (where the Highlander was filmed). The pictures and postcards may look beautiful but trust me the real thing are much more better. You would have to see it yourself to believe it...

Next destination of our 1 week holiday is Austria i.e.Vienna and Salzburg. Vienna is wonderfully rich indulgence packed with galleries and museums. Marzipan-like buildings decorate the inner city circular road (just take Tram No 1 and 2 and you will know what I meant) Experienced my first opera in Statsopera- The State Opera in Vienna. Its a tremendous feeling since its totally different than Broadway. Salzburg is picture-postcard baroque town. It has ornate 17th century buildings still line the narrow, cobbled streets beneath the landmark fortress while manicured gardens surround the baroque Schloss Mirabell (Mirabell Palace). Salzburg-is where we re-lived the 'Sound of Music' scenes..=)

Went to Prague and Cesky Krumlov from 5th-8th May. Prague is a really nice city. Its magic, golden, mystical Prague. Famous for Kafka, the Velvet Revolution and world's finest beer (too bad we dont drink). We managed to watched Marionette show- Don Giovanni on first night. From Prague, we took a day trip to Cesky Krumlov, deep south of Bohemia. Cesky is a small picturesque towns in Europe. The castle is like one of those you read in the books where the prince and princess lived happily ever after...the appearance has not changed since 18th century.

This Friday I am going off for a week holiday in Prague and Austria..hurray! Managed to upload room pics as promised..(its definitely better than the one I had in Damansara Perdana)

ps/ 5th May marks 6months since I have arrived in UK. Will be in Heathrow again to depart to Prague. What a coincidence! Life is full of surprises...and the best is yet to come.
