Bernese Oberland- this is the heart of Switzerland! Forget Zurich, forget Geneva cos if you only have one region to pick in Swiss this is it! The closeness of the mountains and the view of the three world famous peaks Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau (top of Europe). We slept in Interlaken for 2nights and travelled around starting with Jungfrau trip. The train journey of 2hours itself is an experience of a lifetime! The view is spectacular, spectacular, spectacular! I managed to persuade Farah to do paragliding as part of the excursion. The experience to see the view of Breatenberg to Interlaken will never be forgotten. Definitely worth every franc we paid. We even went to the small villages around this region such as Grindewald, Gimmewald, Murren and Lauterbrunnen. What else can i say- it has been fab!

We went to Bern on the 4th of Sept. What a memorable day! My birdday in the capital city of Swiss. Named after a bear because this is the animal that the first settlements had to kill. Its a nice city with the old town, museums etc. This is also where Einstein developed the relativity theory. From Bern, we took the Swiss panorama train to Montreaux before heading to the last leg of our trip which is Geneva, This is an international city with dozens of international organisations. We stayed with my cousin Kak Normah and saved on accomodation, which is a blessing cos Swiss is an expensive country!

This is our 10 day excursion to Switzerland- the land of Swiss alps, mountain, lakes. We arrived in Zurich first and then went to Lucerne. Zurich is situated at the north end of Lake Zurich. It is a city of a perfect combination of natural beauty, cosmopolitan charm and urban buzz. Lucerne on the other hand is unique! It offers an incredible panorama which stretches from Mount Pilatus to Mount Rigi. We are charmed by its panorama. We took the trip up to Mount Pilatus on the steepest rail in Europe. Too bad it was quite cloudy up there. Still we had fun!

This is Liverpool! Made famous by the Beatles- the quartet who made it as one of the top bands in history. Went there with my best friend who has just arrived from KL yesterday. We went to Albert Dock, Beatles museum, city hall, city centre and the Metropolitan Cathedral. There's a lot of construction as well as Liverpool is preparing for the 2008 European City of Culture. The city is quite compact as we can walk between the Albert dock and the city centre. Taking the stroll along the music venue at Caverb Club is a must! The Beatles made their name by performing here. Liverpool has seen the birth of more chart topping bands than any other city in Britain and its dedication to music is evident. Check it out people!

Sherwood Forest to Nottingham- the Robin Hood trail

Hold on!

It's the trail of Robin Hood and his merry men, deep down in the Nottingham forest. This is an English folk tale of an outlaw who believed in stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor. And here we are! Tracing it all...Then we ended it in Nottingham where we stayed in Yani's. She insisted that we have a quick tour in her uni as well which to be honest reminds me of Universiti Malaya (no offence to anyone) Anyway, we had a great time especially on the night out shopping in Ikea and the unsuccesful attempt to catch a midnight movie..=) Thanks Yani!
